Following a major refresh of their core brand foundation, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) sought to bring their new identity to life through a targeted advertising campaign. Coming off consistent recognition as the top state for business in America, the EDPNC needed to capitalize on this momentum, expand its reach to new corporate audiences, and hit the ground running. While the client possessed the logo and an updated color palette, they required a complete, dynamic visual language to translate these foundational assets into a high-impact promotional push.

The design approach focused on opportunity, clean energy, and a clear motive: Why North Carolina is the best place to do business. Bold, confident typography is paired with sweeping curves and structured image frames that reinforce a feeling of forward momentum while physically guiding the viewer's eye through key messaging. Expansive photography highlighting North Carolina’s beautiful landscape aids in the graphical framing of content, creating a modular visual system designed to elevate critical data points. The resulting aesthetic gives prominent focal points to statistics, accolades, and callouts, transforming economic metrics into compelling visual stories.

The finalized campaign delivered a versatile graphic suite implemented across digital, print, and high-visibility advertising touchpoints. By translating abstract momentum into structured graphic elements, the visual system successfully elevated North Carolina's message on a national stage. The result is an identity in motion that directly supports the state's economic development goals—and helping secure CNBC’s #1 State for Business title in three of the last four years.
