The Art of Books
I’ve always been a lover of books—not just for the stories they hold, but for the tactile art of their covers. To me, a great book jacket is a piece of art in its own right: an invitation, a doorway, and a visual synthesis of what lies between the pages. Early in my design career, I found endless inspiration in the masterwork of figures like Louise Fili, Stefan Stagmeister, and Jessica Hische. That reverence for physical craftsmanship continues to shape my work today, and book cover designs will always hold a deeply special place in my heart.
“The right cover is like a beautiful coat, elegant and warm, wrapping words as they travel through the world, on their way to keep an appointment with its readers. The wrong cover is cumbersome, suffocating—like a too-light sweater: inadequate.”
